First Ever Balloon Crossing Northpole – New Record Broken

Congratulations to Jean Louis Etienne who flew his Roziere shape balloon across Northpole!

This a first ever balloon flight crossing a distance of 3130km successfully crossing the Arctic Ocean after a flight of 121 hours 30mins on 26 April 2010. The team members of the Generali Arctic Observer expedition specially ordered a hot air balloon which represents a replica of the Rozière balloon.

The balloon is supported by a combination of helium and hot air, like the Breitling Orbiter balloon used on their round-the-world flight by Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones. The nacelle will be specially designed for a Polar flight.

I truly salute Jean Louis Etienne and his team for embarking this daring expedition to draw the world’s attention to the effects of global warming on the Northpole. *bow bow bow*

Why Hot Air Balloon?

Posted January 28th, 2010 by admin and filed in Hot Air Balloon News

This is the start of the 3rd year of hotairballooning for me, and until now many people still ask me “How did you get into this business?”

That’s a good question, because I have always been an indoor person, until I was introduced to hotairballooning by FJ (who later become my business partner) in 2006. As I get more involved, I fell madly in love with the magnificent balloon. One of my personal goal this year is to obtain my hotairballoon pilot license.

My hot inflation

As a company we are based in Kuala Lumpur, however we find ourselves all over Malaysia (and occasionally the world) flying Balloons for many reasons, mostly work, sometimes sport and occasionally just for fun. I am truly enjoying that my work brings me the chance to travel to many places.

The adventure, the excitement and the challenges we experience when flying are the motivations for all of us as individuals. What motivates us as a company is sharing these adventures and experiences as often as we can – making many people’s dreams come true, dreams many never thought could be fulfilled. Seeing happy faces after coming hotairballooning with us gives me the most satisfaction!

Keep Dreaming & Dreams Do Come True!
